NC 2023 Rankings & Follow List

Brandon Hall
Executive Director, PBR NC

Another new spring is here and baseball is in the air.  As part of the process of identifying and ranking the talent across North Carolina, PBR Scouts have been running events, watching games, and attending practices.  It is probably too early to jump into a big breakdown of the class as none of these players have played a real high school game yet.

There is enough information to begin to put together the follow list of players that may earn a ranking as we begin to release the 2023 rankings later in the spring.   Players that PBR scouts have seen at workouts, games, or practices will receive a player grade in our rankings database.  PBR scouts will also work to put a confidence grade on the player grade.  Obviously the more we see a player the more confidence we have in the player grade.  With the players listed below, most have a grade that would lead to being ranked, as we release the 2023 rankings.  PBR scouts plan to see over 300 high school games in 2020 and a big part will be getting to know some of the high ceiling freshman playing.

2023 Follow List

Ranked Players

PBR has released the Overall Rankings for the 2023 class.  North Carolina was fortunate enough to have five players listed in the initial top 200.  With the talent in North Carolina, the number of players in the Overall Rankings will grow.  Below are the players, and their overall ranking, listed in PBR's Overall 2023 Rankings.
