Updated 2018 Rankings

We are just days away from the start of the 2018 High School, which makes it the perfect time to revamp our New Jersey Class of 2018 Rankings. Since our last State and Overall Rankings Update, there have been numerous players that have made a big jump. In the crazy world that has become of college baseball recruiting over the last several years and how seemingly expedited it has become – the summer going into senior year of high school still holds significant value for prospects both going into their final campaign in high school, but also for the MLB Draft. Another year to develop strength, maturity, and experience playing at a high level certainly provides some added momentum going into a player's final spring on the diamond for his high school team. 

Take a look at some of the names that have made jumps; some are popular names in the New Jersey high school baseball landscape – while other might not be. Whatever the case, these players are deserving of their name being mentioned among the best.

+ To start off our analysis of the senior class, we should look no further than Paul VI's Kentucky recruit, RHP Will Gambino. Gambino rises into the Top 15 at No. 11, but don't be surprised if he's higher by season's end. The right hander can rev his fastball into the low 90s, touching 94 several times in Atlanta last summer. Possesses a broad-shouldered 6-foot-2 200-pound build with a clean arm.

+ Tennesee-Martin recruit RHP Marcus Eusebio (PCTI HS, NJ) is another arm that might make that secondary jump as the weather gets warmer. Most recently, we had Eusebio sitting 92-93 and touching 94 MPH in February....
