The high school season is almost here with practices around the state now in full-swing, with scrimmages and official games soon to come. Over the course of the past two-years our boots-on-the-ground scouting team have worked tirelessly gathering and compiling player data, nearly 12-months out of the year. Through the high school season, our top-flight events, and the travel baseball scene, we have been able to piece together the Empire State's most thorough, and accurate player rankings. Let's take a look at the best-of-the-best in the 2018 class.

The Updated and Expanded 2018 player rankings serve as a reminder of how good the talent here in New York actually is. Three of the top five players in the updated rankings are all headed to major D1 programs, with several others that are certainly deserving of recruiting coordinators attention. This update expands from the previous top 30 to now the top 50 in the state. The coveted top 10 spots welcomes a new prospect with a few interchanges. To note, previously No. 3 SS Chris Mondesi has moved to Fl to attend Elevate Sports Institute, making him non-eligible for our rankings. The freshly updated rankings produced several shake-ups, moves, and newcomers to the expanded list. Let's take a deeper dive inside the 2018 player rankings in New York.

Staying strong at No. 1 is SS Charles Mack (Williamsville East HS).
