Nebraska Draft Preview



The 2017 Major League Draft takes place June 12-14. In advance of the draft, Prep Baseball Report is posting a summary of each state in the coverage area with scouting reports on the top high school draft prospects.

In 2016, Nebraska saw SS Cole Stobbe (Millard West HS, NE) get drafted with the by the Philadelphia Phillies in the third round and sign for $1.1 million. There are no PBR Draft 100 Prospects in the state for 2017, but some prospects throughout the state have seen multiple scouts stop by to see them play throughout the season.

OTHERS TO WATCH: LHP Jamie Young (Norris HS, NE) had a strong showing at the Super 60 in February and had multiple scouts out to see him early on in the season.
