It’s a fact. Baseball prospects from the state of Colorado are getting more and more looks from the next levels. 

And the high-school players, who absolutely, positively love the game, think they know the various reasons why.

“We are getting better looks,” said Carter Akerfelds, a right-handed pitcher at Dakota Ridge in Jefferson County, “because I think the pitching out of Colorado is getting better. It’s better than most state’s position players. For the pitching, I think it’s because we get the cold weather. Kids are getting time to rest their arms.”
