We would like to thank all who participated in PBR Ohio's 2019 Northern Ohio Preseason Preview / Freshman Free Showcase. This was a great opportunity for the class of 2019-2023 prospects to be put on college radars. Many players impressed during their individual workouts at the showcase.

Northern Ohio Preseason Preview / Freshman Free Showcase - Sneak Peek

The Arms

Tim Baird RHP / OF / North Royalton, OH / 2020

Body Type: 6-foot-1, athletic frame with room to add.
Athleticism: Above Average
Mechanical/Delivery Notes: Athletic delivery with a very loose/live arm. Delivery has some effort.  Efficient lower half. Shows signs of more velocity to come.
Fastball: 84-87 mph, Ball jumps out of hand and pitch is consistently in the zone. Heavy, heavy run making the pitch play up velocity wise. Fastball already grades out as well above average and projects for more.
Slider: 68-70 mph, 10/4 shape with both depth and quality action. Controlled the offering well. Has some swing and miss to it, especially on outer half.
Changeup: 72-76 mph, An above average offering. Maintains arm speed with similar action to fastball but added dip.
Pitchability: Above average. Had moments where he was out of the zone but he showed the ability to locate all three offerings in the zone at times.
Role: Starter
Other Comments: Scholarship arm talent that has more to come.
