Evaluation: Jake is a big physical left-handed hitting catcher who can also play first base. His left-handed bat has shown juice to the pull side and his feel for the barrel is advanced at this point. His work behind the plate is simple, he receives the ball efficiently, his feet and release make the transition phase easy for him. Jake lets his bat do the talking and should be a big offensive threat at the next level. His position should end up being first base and may be a middle of the order type bat. Keep an eye on this guy cause he fits the mold of big and left handed as well.
