3 Chipola (FL) 20-5-1 4 Won 12 in a row and getting it done vs. top competition.
4 Northwest Florida St. 19-7 2 Strong team, minor stumble.
5 Dyersburg St. (TN) 18-3 8 Hottest team in the nation with 18-game win streak. Talented and rising. Series this week vs. No. 15 Columbia St.
6 Wabash Valley (IL) 15-3 7 Hitting stride with talent and depth; offense continues to rake.
7 Crowder (MO) 14-5 5 Couple of strong wins but still getting going.
8 McLennan (TX) 13-5-1 9 Playing as we thought. Have met all challenges in Region 5. Won 3 over New Mexico.
9 Arizona Western 19-3 16 Strong solid team that is playing well and are not afraid. Talent and pitching.
10 San Jacinto-North (TX) 15-8 6 Still haven't hit stride. Pieces are there, just need to play better.
11 Weatherford (TX) 15-4 10 Have the talent to be a top team. Test begins this week vs. No. 16 Grayson.
12 Iowa Western 8-4 11 Still getting started. Talent and depth to make it happen.
13 Cowley (KS) 8-4 18 Split with No. 20 Indian Hills.
14 John A. Logan (IL) 11-3 21 Won 8 in a row, starting to hit stride.
15 Columbia St. (TN) 12-4 24 Good team playing well. Big test this week vs. No. 5 Dyersburg St.
16 Grayson (TX) 10-5 20 Starting to put it together. Big series this week vs. No. 11 Weatherford.
17 Flo-Dar Tech (SC) 15-7 13 Good wins vs. ranked D2 teams. Have a good team, but still putting pieces together.
18 Eastern Oklahoma St. 14-0 NR Talented and winning games. Easy going so far. Haven't been tested.
19 Temple (TX) 14-3 HM Won big series vs. Odessa. Starting to get it going.
20 Indian Hills (IA) 2-2 23 Split with No. 13 Cowley to open up season.
21 Georgia Highlands 20-2 HM Winning games. Lost 2 out of 3 to No. 6 Wabash Valley. Starting to get into the heart of the season.
22 Florida SouthWestern St. 14-11 12 Super talented but can't get out of their own way.
23 Gulf Coast St. (FL) 17-6 NR Won 9 straight. Tough early schedule paying off.
24 Midland (TX) 13-6 14 Talented team stumbled vs. Dodge City. Big series this week vs. a potent New Mexico offense.
25 Salt Lake (UT) 10-4 HM 4-game sweep over Southern Nevada. Good team flying under the radar.
