PBR Names Brett Harrison as New Nevada Scouting Director

PBR Staff

Prep Baseball Report is proud to welcome Brett Harrison as our new Nevada Scouting Director. Harrison is following in the footsteps of former PBR Scouting Director Buddy Gouldsmith, who was recently hired by the Kansas City Royals as an area scout.

The state of Nevada is in excellent hands. A native of Las Vegas, Harrison’s baseball roots run thick and deep across the state, and served as a Las Vegas area scout for Prep Baseball Report under Gouldsmith.

A standout middle infielder at Green Valley HS, Harrison was drafted in the 18th round and signed with the Detroit Tigers out of high school in 2011.

An arm injury cut his four-year professional career short. Harrison then went back to get his business degree at UNLV, where he also served as a student manager there. Harrison, who grew up in the golden age of Las Vegas baseball with the likes of Bryce Harper, Kris Bryant and Joey Gallo, has also helped coach at his alma mater, Green Valley HS, where his brother Matt is now the head coach. Harrison also previously worked with the Vegas Golden Knights for three years and coached travel baseball.

Now Harrison will bring his baseball experiences and passions for scouting to Nevada’s prep baseball scene. Harrison will work tirelessly to bring to you the most comprehensive high school baseball information Nevada has ever seen - building off the in-roads Gouldsmith laid over the last year - and provide scouting coverage to all corners of the state. But he can’t do it alone. Please email him at [email protected] with college commitments, relevant news, and top players in your area.

Nevada-specific fall and winter events will be posted soon. Prep Baseball Report events are designed to give players the maximum exposure needed to advance to the next level. Not only will players receive high-level exposure to college coaches, but all players at events will be videotaped, and the edited performance will be hosted online. All players’ profiles, verified statistics and scouting reports can be searched in our expansive player database.

Our flagship state, Prep Baseball Report Illinois, was launched in 2005. Over the last 15 years, the Prep Baseball Report has evolved into one of the country’s biggest and most respected independent scouting services, with a singular focus of providing comprehensive coverage in every state we are in. More than 800 colleges and pro scouts now subscribe to the Prep Baseball Report multimedia services.
