PREP BASEBALL REPORT ANNOUNCES DATES AND UPDATED FORMAT FOR JUNIOR FUTURE GAMES
PBR Staff

As you may have experienced in past years, the Junior Future Games has evolved into the most prestigious youth baseball event of the summer. Run concurrently with the Prep Baseball Report Future Games, which had 250 college coaches from coast-to-coast scouting the high school-aged prospects, the Junior Future Games’ new-and-improved format is raising the bar to another level.

Now, we are streamlining the high-level competition to focus solely on 12U, 13U and 14U players, all the while threading state-specific teams through a workout day, run by the state’s PBR Scouting Director, before breaking into game-play against other states.

The Junior Future Games will once again be held at Grand Park’s state-of-the-art 26-field all-turf facility located in Westfield, IN on August 2-5 (Thursday-Sunday).

In Louisiana, 2020 SS Davis Meche (Barbe HS, LA) decided to leave the state with his commitment to Mississippi State. Ranked No. 5 in Louisiana, Meche was a Future Games standout in 2017.

In the recruiting world, prospects are working to separate themselves from other players looking to land at the school of their choice.  We have discussed a player’s ability to communicate through email, text, and phone calls in past Recruiting Essentials.  Today we will take a look at a couple of “best practices” when setting up references.
