PBR Welcomes Kevin Coe To The Team

PBR Staff

Prep Baseball Report is proud to welcome Kevin Coe to our Illinois and Wisconsin team. A true baseball professional with a sterling reputation for helping athletes advance to the next level, Coe’s roots and experiences run deep throughout the greater Chicago area.

Coe has built a reputation as a leader in the Chicago amateur baseball landscape, in large part due to his 10 years working for the Chicago White Sox. With the White Sox, he helped develop and lead the Amateur City Elite program - widely known as ACE - that helped serve inner-city baseball players. Thanks to Coe’s efforts, the ACE program has become a nationally recognized program that has produced 25 draft picks, including first-rounders Ed Howard and Corey Ray, in addition to 250 players (and counting) that have moved on to play collegiately.

“I am really excited to welcome Kevin into the PBR family,” said Prep Baseball Report President Sean Duncan. “I have a deep respect and admiration for everything Kevin has accomplished in the game. He’s a great advocate for players, and he’s been a great advocate for Prep Baseball Report, dating back to when we first started.

“He has a keen eye for identifying talent, he’s a tireless worker and, above all, he’s a first-class person. I couldn’t be more pumped to have Kevin Coe on our team.”

A Simeon HS product from the South Side of Chicago, Coe went on to become a 14th round draft pick by the Chicago Cubs. He has been involved in all aspects and levels of the game, including coaching amateur baseball for 15 years.

Now, Coe will bring his vast baseball experiences to Prep Baseball Report, where he will serve as a scout and event organizer in Illinois and Wisconsin. Coe also is the Assistant GM and Director of Baseball at the Pullman Community Center located in Chicago, and coaches at Homewood-Flossmoor HS.

I’m excited to join the PBR team,” Coe said. “For many years I’ve watched PBR grow into a very successful brand throughout the United States. My goal is to become an important asset to the company.”
