Welcome, South Carolina

Sean Duncan
President

With great pleasure, we bring to you Prep Baseball Report South Carolina. Our mission in South Carolina mirrors that of our other state-specific coverage: to provide the most comprehensive in-state scouting information, to promote high school baseball and, ultimately help South Carolina prep athletes achieve their dreams of playing baseball at the next level. Our goal is to be the year-round No. 1 scouting resource for prep baseball in South Carolina.

Although it will take some time to achieve the status of our other 39 states, we are certain we have the right person to thoroughly, accurately and honestly scout South Carolina:

Eddie Tisdale.

A native of South Carolina, Tisdale's baseball roots run deep in the Palmetto State. After a decorated prep career at Lugoff-Elgin High School, Tisdale went on Winthrop University, where he became a fixture in the Eagles lineup, starting 170 consecutive games between 2007-2009. In 2009, he led the Big South Conference in hits with 95, and still ranks among Winthrop's top 10 in career batting average, putouts and fielding percentage.

After playing professionally in the Frontier League for two years, Tisdale began his high school coaching career. Most recently, he spent the last four years as the head coach at York Comprehensive HS in York, South Carolina. During his tenure at York, he guided the Cougars to its first playoff appearance since 2008, amassed 54 wins, sent 10 players off to play college baseball and raised over $30,000 for facility improvements.

Now Tisdale will bring his baseball experiences and passions for scouting to South Carolina's prep baseball scene. Tisdale will work tirelessly to bring to you the most comprehensive high school baseball information South Carolina has ever seen and provide scouting coverage to all corners of the state. But he can't do it alone. Please email him at [email protected] with college commitments, relevant news, and top players in your area.

South Carolina-specific events will begin in the fall. Prep Baseball Report events are designed to give players the maximum exposure needed to advance to the next level. Not only will players receive high-level exposure to college coaches, but all players at events will be videotaped, and the edited performance will be hosted online. All players' profiles, verified statistics and scouting reports can be searched in our expansive player database.

Our flagship state, Prep Baseball Report Illinois, was launched in 2005. Over the last 14 years, the Prep Baseball Report has evolved into one of the country's biggest and most respected independent scouting services, with a singular focus of providing comprehensive coverage in every state we are in. More than 800 colleges and pro scouts now subscribe to the Prep Baseball Report multimedia services.

Now, we are thrilled to be your No. 1 source of high school baseball in South Carolina.
