Mizuno becomes Official Hard Goods Sponsor of PBR

Prep Baseball Report and Mizuno USA are joining forces through a multi-year partnership. The partnership integrates Mizuno across all of Prep Baseball Report’s event and digital channels, and provides youth and high school participants in Prep Baseball Report events direct access to information and industry-leading product innovations from Mizuno.

Mizuno will be the Official Bat and Baseball of Prep Baseball Report, as well as Glove and Protective Gear, throughout the agreement. The partnership will enable Mizuno to maintain a presence across Prep Baseball Report’s platforms and conduct promotions and demonstrations through PBR’s digital and experiential channels. In addition, Mizuno will be the title sponsor for some of PBR’s signature events and create unique activations at PBR showcases and tournaments across the nation.

Prep Baseball Report and Mizuno share a commitment to baseball, and to passion and innovation through technology, and this agreement reflects the companies’ shared values and desire to work together to grow the game.

“We are really excited to be working with Mizuno as our partner and exclusive hard goods sponsor,” said Prep Baseball Report President Sean Duncan. “Mizuno is an iconic global brand which has a long history of producing high-level baseball products. Beyond its expertise and tradition, Mizuno’s baseball people are high-quality humans whose goals, vision and ethos align with ours.”

Prep Baseball Report (PrepBaseballReport.com) brings together baseball events and digital coverage in a combination unmatched by any other organization. PBR has established itself as a leader in both content and events around amateur baseball, and over the last 15 years has branched out to cover the entire nation and Canada.

The Prep Baseball Report has more full-time scouts than any other independent amateur scouting company in the country. Prep Baseball Report’s hyper-local focus is augmented by its national scouting staff, which focuses on the top national prospects in all prep classes. With scouting experts at both the state and national levels, PBR has boots on the ground from coast to coast and conducts more than 1,000 events for youth and high school performance baseball players across the nation.

“Mizuno’s heritage, dating back more than a century, is rooted in baseball. We have been focused on providing high-quality baseball gear since 1906. It is only fitting we find ourselves forging a partnership with the industry’s premier amateur baseball association,” said Tim Rumer, Vice President, Team Sports at Mizuno USA. “Prep Baseball Report’s credibility as a go-to source for scouting amateur players, combined with their national footprint of events, will provide us an exciting opportunity to showcase the Mizuno brand to our target baseball audience. The integrity with which PBR operates makes them an ideal partner, and we look forward to a long and fruitful relationship.”

Mizuno (MizunoUSA.com) is one of the top global brands in diamond sports, with a history in baseball that dates back more than 100 years, to the founding of the company in Osaka, Japan.
