Rising Stars ID's: Top-10 Performers

PBR Mississippi Staff

Mississippi - The South Mississippi Rising Stars ID & North Mississippi/West Tennessee Rising Stars ID was held on March 25th and April 1st. These event were open events that consisted of some of the top prospects from the 2027-2028 classes from Mississippi and West Tennessee. These players went through extended pro-style workout that included batting practice using Trackman, ran the 60 yard dash using Swift Performance, and much more. Pitchers were able to throw in simulated bullpens during the workout and were able to get numbers and metrics. There were some players who showed up and continued to build off of prior performances, but there were also some new names who jumped onto our radar with a strong showing at the event.

Finishing off our post-event coverage for both events, we take a look back at the Top-10 Performers from the event.

TOP-10 PERFORMERS

+ OF/LHP Crews Albritton (Tri-County Academy, 2027) was the top power bat at the event with multiple 90 plus exit velocity recordings, and an event high of 94 mph. Albritton used a fairly level bat path that should allow for tons of gap destruction in the future. He also showed off a strong arm from the outfield with several low 80 mph readings.
