Scout Blog: Prime Prospects from Bobby Murray Tournament Coverage

Brandon Hall
Mid-Atlantic Scouting Director

During the two week span that encompasses most of North Carolina High Schools’ Spring Break, PBR Scouts worked to be on the road.  The Spring Break events allow our scouting staff to sit at one field for a full day and see 3-4 games, and 6-8 teams.  Each day throughout the Spring Break schedule, at least two of PBR’s scouting staff were taking in games.

Today we are going to take a look at some of the athletes that stood out at the 2023 Bobby Murray Tournament hosted at Millbrook HS.  This tournament, in its 34th year, featured two host sites, with each site hosting a 3 team double header.  Due to rain, the championship was pushed back a week with Millbrook beating Holly Springs to take the 2023 title.  This tournament is always a special one for myself as I played in the event for 3 years, as well as working the event for 5 years prior to entering high school.  It is always nice to see a game from home.
