Many players impressed during their individual workouts at the showcase. Maniglia Stands Out in All Phases

Casey Maniglia OF / RHP / Solon, OH / 2018

Report: OF Casey Maniglia, a North Carolina recruit, started off his day by running an event best 6.62 60-yard dash - electronically timed. That number is even more impressive given his 6-foot-2, 200-pound frame and the traditionally slow track. In the box, he looked cleaner mechanically with more fluid movements than we’ve seen in prior showings. The BP was loud. He was backspinning balls with authority anywhere from his opposite gap to the left field foul pole. The Solon High School product finished off the day by showing arguably his most obvious tool - his arm strength - as he reached a top velocity of 96 mph on his throws to home plate.
