PBR scouts were scattered across the state of North Carolina as many schools began their spring break with tournaments and games.  During the week, three arms, each followed by MLB Scouts for the upcoming June draft threw in front of PBR.  Below is a breakdown of each of their nights with notes on their stuff, velocity, and pitch-ability.

 

Spring Break Notebook 1: Pro Arms

Senior LHP Blake Walston took the rubber on the first day of the Ashley HS Spring Break Tournament in Wilmington, NC.  The North Carolina State commit drew quite the crowd with well over 30 pro scouts on hand, including area guys and high level decision makers, as teams are preparing for the June Draft.  Walston did not disappoint those on hand to get a look at the lefty. 

Walston announced his presence early with three strikeouts in the 1st, sitting 88-92 with his fastball.  Walston would punch 7 of the first 9 and a total of 13 over his six innings of work.  11 of the 14 strikeouts were on the fastball, with 8 of those swinging.  The fastball ranged
