Prep Baseball Report is ramping up is summer tournaments in 2019.  With the addition of Lake Point, plus several other high end facilities around the country, there are more opportunities for high school players in North Carolina to continue to showcase their skills in live game action.

Over the weekend of June 13 – June 16 PBR Tournaments hosted the Carolina State Games at Shipyard Park in Charleston, SC.  Below is a look back at several players from North Carolina that made noise during the Carolina State Games Tournament.

 

Summer Scout Blog: Carolina State Games Tournament

Congrats to the South Charlotte Panthers on winning the 15u division of the Carolina State Games. The Panthers offense put up 55 runs in the event and finished off the Upstate Mavericks in the Championship 9-7. The Panthers got a solid start from Drew Lanzo and a great relief effort from Aiden Evans. Graham Smiley, Garrett Michel, & Aiden Evans all had solid tournaments at the plate.

Gus Shelton (1B, Randleman HS, 2022) 
Large frame with a physical profile and strong actions. Muscles the barrel through the zone frame strength and raw power will continue to improve. Plus raw power with potential for even more of a power surge as he matures.

Hayden Friese (C, Morehead HS, 2022)
