On Friday and Saturday, we stayed in the middle of the state to evaluate the Single A Classic, spending Friday at Forrest and Saturday at Middle Tennessee Christian before heading to Siegel for their tilt against Lebanon as part of the Warrior Spring Classic.  After a lot of rain Thursday, fields were wet, but looking good and playing well.  For a look at some standouts, read below (and check out the Twitter feed for video highlights!)

Vanderbilt commit who currently ranks as the top prospect in the state did not disappoint in his outing Saturday, his 2nd of the season after winning a state championship in basketball, showcasing 2 plus pitches with about 20 scouts in attendance.  6’2, 210 pounder features a medium, sturdy frame w/ present lower half strength, some physical projection.  Pitches from a full wind-up into ¾ to H ¾ release.  Super quick arm w/ some effort in the throw.  Angle and plane.  FB shows short arm-side run.  Medium downer CB is a hammer, featuring late bite, above average depth.  Mixed in a firm straight CH.  Controls the baseball, can fill the strike zone.  Projects to command, stays out of the middle of the plate.  Generated 15 swing and misses on 35 swings.
