We would like to thank all who participated in the PBR Michigan 2019 Preseason All-State Showcase. This was a great opportunity for the class of 2019-2022 prospects to be put on college radars. Many players impressed during their individual workouts at the showcase.

In the coming weeks, we will be adding and updating profiles for each of the players in attendance, including complete analysis and video.

Talent Galore At Preseason All-State

MADISON HEIGHTS - A group of 85 Michigan high school athletes put on an impressive performance at the Michigan Preseason All-State event held at 2SP in Madison Heights.

Among the field were 14 players committed to state schools including Michigan, Michigan State, Oakland and Eastern Michigan. In addition, there were players with commits to Vanderbilt, Duke, Auburn and Stanford while 64 of those in attendance are still uncommitted.

“I thought the event went very well,” explained Zach Hacky, an uncommitted sophomore from Blissfield who had the best catching velo at the event at 82 mph “It was a great experience and there were a ton of great athletes and college commits there. It’s a great atmosphere to be around when there is a bunch of excellent baseball players competing with each other.”

Others were also pleased with the Preseason All-State.

“Overall the event was filled with a lot of great talent with great players from all over Michigan,” noted Mark Kattula, a Stevenson junior committed to Eastern Michigan “Meeting new people was really cool as well as running into a couple of buddies that I’ve played with and am currently playing with.”

Added Antonio Flores: “I think it was a really good showcase. It was ran well and we didn’t have a lot of downtime. I was always on the go so that was great, it kept the body warm.”

Flores and Kattula were judged to have the Best Swing at the event, with Kattula producing the third best exit velo (with wood) at 97.
