USA Baseball’s 15U National Team wrapped up its trials and training period in Cary, NC, this week before flying to Arizona in advance of the WBSC 15U World Cup in Mazatlan, Mexico. The final roster was announced late last week after a trials period with 40 players. The 20-man roster then went through workouts and scrimmages before departure. We posted a notebook last week and have a few more to give you after the team’s final two scrimmages…

+ C Steven Williams (Deefrield-Windsor HS, GA) hit two triples on Monday, showing off a sweet, compact swing. He is a good athlete and is reportedly a standout football player too. He runs well for his size getting down the line in 4.4 seconds with his turn. He also has a strong arm behind the plate and stands at a projectable 6-foot-3, 195 pounds.
