Tennessee’s high school has fluctuated the past couple years with the No. 1 ranking seemingly a revolving door, but it’s a strong group of prospects. RHP Steven Jennings (DeKalb HS, TN) returned from a torn ACL and quickly jumped up draft boards while RHP Spencer Strider (Christian Academy of Knoxville, TN) ran his fastball up to 96 mph and was 90-94 all spring. They’re state’s only prospects in the PBR Draft 100, but a few others could jump into the top 10 rounds if they are deemed signable.

PBR Draft 100 Prospects

30. Steven Jennings, RHP, DeKalb County HS, TN
Jennings has an athletic frame at 6-foot-2, 175 pounds and recovered from a torn ACL in only a matter of months. He works at his own pace and does a great job of maintaining rhythm without working too quickly. He refrains from getting too mechanical by using his athleticism on the mound and a natural, repeatable delivery.
