The Hotlist: Hot Starts To The 2014 Season

By Nathan Rode and PBR Staff

Most of the country has finally started playing regular season games. Weather is still causing some issues, but teams are getting outside. Slow starts would be understandable with plenty of rust building up from a tough winter and mostly indoor practices. However, a few players are in a groove early. This week’s Hotlist looks at some players that are off to hot starts.

Wyatt Adkins, SS, Independence HS, WV (2014)
Adkins is living up to his PBR Region III - Class AA Preseason Player of the Year honor. The 6-foot-1, 175-pound West Virginia Wesleyan recruit hit two home runs and drove in four on April 2 in a 14-2 win. He followed that performance up the following day by going 3-for-3 with two solo home runs and an intentional walk in a 3-2 victory.
