The Hotlist: Super 60 Breakout Candidates

By Nathan Rode and PBR Staff

The 2015 Super 60 is just five days away and the roster has a lot of promise. There are plenty of household names coming in for the weekend in hopes of making a good impression on scouts to start their senior seasons. It’s also an opportunity for prospects flying under the radar to take a step forward and show they should be followed throughout the spring. In 2014, RHPs Anthony Herron (Affton HS, MO), Tanner Houck (Collinsville HS, IL) and Jayce Vancena (Lake HS, OH) had breakout performances. This week’s Hotlist looks at players that could do the same in 2015. Listed alphabetically below are several participants that could make a name for themselves on Sunday.

Cam Comer, C, Olentangy Liberty HS, OH
Comer’s strongest tool may be his bat as he possesses a smooth with quick hands through the zone, an advanced approach and the ability to drive the ball to all fields. He has good reactions behind the plate to go with a quick release and strong arm.
