The Rode Show: Baz, Stuempfig Solid In Season Openers

HOUSTON—The Rode Show is starting off 2017 in Texas, chasing down draft prospects in the Lone Star State. First on the docket was the state’s top prospect and No. 11 on the PBR Draft 100, RHP Shane Baz (Concordia Lutheran HS, TX). In his first official start of the year, the Texas Christian recruit had a 60-pitch limit and logged four innings, allowing a run on three hits and a walk while striking out seven. Baz’s fastball ranged from 91-94 mph, touching 95.
