BRADENTON, FL—The final day of pool play at the IMG National Classic started off with a bang as Gulliver Prep, FL, and Roberson HS, NC, squared off. Gulliver Prep needed a win and a handful of runs to have a chance at making it into the championship. With Roberson being a formidable opponent, the Raiders sent RHP Robert Touron, a Miami recruit and PBR Draft 100 prospect, to the hill. Things were locked at zero as Roberson 2019 RHP Jack Galbraith traded zeros with his counterpart. The Rams opened the scoring in the fourth with an RBI single from C Aaron McKeithan, who has had all of their key RBIs this week. He sent a Touron slider into left field to make it 1-0 and then a second run came home on a wild pitch. That was all Roberson needed as Galbraith and 3B/RHP Collin Watt teamed up for a shutout and sealed their spot in Thursday’s championship game. Galbraith went five innings, allowing four hits and a walk while striking out one. He pitched in the low 80s, showing tempo in his drop-and-drive delivery. His curveball was 68-72 and flashed sharpness and depth.
