THEN FEBRUARY 4, 2019 SUPER 60:
The Eastern Kentucky recruit used the Super 60 to push his name way up the priority list. He has an excellent frame at 6-foot-3, 195 pounds with lean strength and tons of room for more. He ran a 6.53 sixty and threw 94 from the outfield. At the plate, he overcomes a slight arm bar with very quick hands and whips the barrel through the zone while maintaining solid balance. Ewell has a strong chance of getting a lot of helium this spring between with his team’s trip to the National High School Invitational in April.

NOW APRIL 30, 2022 EASTERN KENTUCKY UNIVERSITY:
Now standing 6-foot-3 and 210 pounds the right-handed hitter is putting it all together during his third-year sophomore season. His .423 batting average currently ranks 6th in the country, and his top tool, plus raw power, has transferred into the game as Ewell has belted 12 home runs so far this season. An above average runner underway, he has swiped seven bases in 10 attempts. With an average arm, his defense and range are best suited to left field due to fair instincts. Scouts love Ewell's athleticism and power, but currently question his long term hit ability due to a high strikeout rate (27%) in a mid-major conference. Ewell will look to prove doubters wrong during the remainder of the 2022 college season, as well during an upcoming summer season in the MLB Draft League.
