Prep Baseball Report - Missouri/Kansas held the Top Prospect Games - MOKAN at the University of Central Missouri in Warrensburg on August 12.  Over sixty players attended in the 2020-2019 class. 

Players can now updated their profiles with a ProspectPlus subscription, while scouts and recruiters can add players on the ScoutPlus dashboard. Player profiles have been updated with profile picture, running times, velocities, and videos.  Today will take a closer look at the 2019 Infielders from the event. Players are listed in alphabetical order below.

2019 Infielders

Jacob Arehart 1B / OF / Olathe South, KS / 2019

Arehart is a 6-foot-3 230-pound right-handed hitting first baseman in Kansas’ 2019 class.  He ran a 7.60 60 and a 5.00 home to first.  He has a 93 mph exit velocity. At the plate, starts slightly open, hands load with toe tap in feet, in line stride, gap to gap approach.  On the infield, over the top arm slot, long arm circle, controlled movements, fields ball out front with clean transfer, mostly accurate throws, big frame with large target at 1B, 68 mph positional velocity.

Luke Burk SS / 3B / Galena , MO / 2019

Burk is a 6-foot 175-pound right-handed hitting shortstop in Missouri’s 2019 class.  He ran a 7.14 60 and a 4.60 home to first.  He has an 83 mph exit velocity. At the plate, starts slightly open, compact swing, short in line stride, no wasted movement, consistent gap to gap line drives during hitting evals.  On the infield, 80 mph positional velocity, smooth and athletic actions, soft hands, gains ground through the catch with clean transfer, plays through the ball, accurate throws. 

Jayton Cromer 3B / OF / Lebanon , MO / 2019

Cromer is an athletically built 5-foot-11 164-pound right-handed hitting third baseman in Missouri’s 2019 class.  He ran a 7.50 60 and 4.64 home to first.  He has an 85 mph exit velocity. At the plate, balanced stance, hands walk away from stride to load, aggressive bat speed, level through the zone, feel for the barrel, drove balls gap to gap during hitting evals.  On the infield, 78 mph positional velocity, short high three quarters release, solid defender with smooth actions, clean exchange on time with fluid footwork, athletic with accurate throws.

Chris Dansberry SS / 3B / Francis Howell, MO / 2019

Dansberry is a 5-foot-8 152-pound right-handed hitting shortstop in Missouri’s 2019 class.  He ran a 7.18 60 and a 4.84 home to first.  He has an 85 mph exit velocity. At the plate, balanced set up, smooth load with weight shift to back side, short in line stride, loose hands with range in swing, middle to opposite field line drives during batting practice.  On the infield, 79 mph positional velocity, short over the top arm slot, gains ground through and after the catch with athletic footwork, clean transfer, athletic actions, accurate throws. 

Drake Davidson 3B / 2B / South Callaway , MO / 2019

Davidson is a lean 5-foot-10 145-pound right-handed hitting third baseman in Missouri’s 2019 class.  He ran a 7.22 60 and a 4.50 home to first.  He has a 77 mph exit velocity. At the plate, square set up in base, simple weight shift to load, no waisted movement, controlled leg lift, in line stride, level path, mostly pull side contact during hitting evals.  On the infield, 75 mph positional velocity, high three quarters arm slot, gains ground after the catch, fluid footwork to the ball, clean transfer, accurate throws.

Zack Floyd OF / SS / Lutheran St. Charles, MO / 2019

Floyd is a strong 5-foot-10 190-pound right-handed hitting shortstop in Missouri’s 2019 class.  He ran a 7.15 60 and a 4.52 home to first.  He has a 93 mph exit velocity. At the plate, thin and square set up, pre-pitch rhythm in hands, toe tap to in line stride, aggressive and level bat plane, quick hands, body stays under control, flashes pull side power with middle to pull line drives during hitting evals. On the infield, 82 mph positional velocity, aggressive to the ball with footwork, high three quarters arm slot, quick catch and throw, attacks ball, plays through he catch, mostly accurate throws.

Dalton Riechers 3B / RHP / Platte County , MO / 2019

Riechers is a strong 5-foot-10 178-pound left-handed hitting third baseman in Missouri’s 2019 class.  He ran a 7.38 60 and a 4.69 home to first.  He has an 80 mph exit velocity. At the plate, balanced stance, smooth pre swing rhythm with weight shift to back leg, accelerated hands, level through the zone, slightly high finish in hands, pull side line drives, flashing power.  On the infield, 81 mph positional velocity, short over the top arm slot, smooth footwork with clean exchange, made all plays cleanly, some accuracy on throws. 

Jacob Selock SS / 3B / Liberty , MO / 2019

Selock is an athletically built 5-foot-9 165-pound right-handed hitting shortstop in Missouri’s 2019 class.  He ran a 7.46 60 and a 4.69 home to first.  He has an 83 mph exit velocity.  At the plate, simple and repeatable, smooth load to back side, lands in line with stride, accelerates with loose hands through contact, body stays under control, gap to gap line drives.  On the infield, 78 mph positional velocity, high three quarters arm slot, smooth and controlled, clean transfer, quick catch and throw, athletic actions, accurate throws.

Tanner Twillman RHP / 3B / Olathe East, KS / 2019

Twillman is a 6-foot 175-pound right-handed hitting third baseman in Kansas’ 2019 class.  He ran a 7.64 60 and a 4.69 home to first.  He has an 87 mph exit velocity. At the plate, open stance, simple and repeatable, slight load to back side, in line stride, minimal movement in hands, consistent line drives gap to gap, feel for the barrel.  On the infield, long high three quarters arm slot, accurate throws, gains ground with footwork through the ball, smooth actions, 74 mph positional velocity.

Parker Weddle SS / RHP / Oak Park, MO / 2019

Weddle is a 6-foot 170-pound right-handed hitting shortstop in Missouri’s 2019 class.  He ran a 7.32 60 and a 4.58 home to first.  He has an 84 mph exit velocity. At the plate, tall and slightly open stance, controlled leg kick, no waisted movement in hands, loose and level path though extension, loose hands generate bat whip, showed feel for the barrel with consistent line drives gap to gap.  On the infield, 77 mph positional velocity, high three quarters arm slot, controlled and smooth actions, clean exchange with momentum in footwork after the catch, mostly accurate throws.
