USA Collegiate National Team- Pitchers

With a stacked roster, this summer’s USA Collegiate National Team looked like its best collection of talent in many years.

The pitching staff has a little bit of everything from high ceiling power arms like Jaxon Wiggins (Arkansas), Brandon Sproat (Florida) and Reggie Crawford (UConn) to present out-getters like Landon Sims (Mississippi State), Carson Whisenhunt (East Carolina) and Carson Palmquist (Miami). The lineup is loaded One through Nine with lefties, righties and several switch-hitters, including Jacob Berry (LSU), Robert Moore (Arkansas), Brooks Lee (Cal Poly) and Daniel Susac (Arizona). If that’s not enough, the collection of talent behind the plate is in another world with defensive stalwarts like Susac, Logan Tanner (Mississippi State), Hayden Dunhurst (Ole Miss) to go along with the offensive prowess of Kevin Parada (Georgia Tech) and the ultra-athletic Kyle Teel (Virginia).

Although I wasn’t able to see every pitcher on the roster during my three-day look in Appalachia, here are my quick takes…
