Uncommitted 2021 Position Players

Nathan Rode and PBR Staff

The spring season is near and while it remains to be seen how much baseball will actually be played, there are several uncommitted players who should be followed, even if it’s virtually. This week, The Hotlist highlights some position players looking for a college program, some of whom offer two-way ability.

Addison Ainsworth, OF, Catholic HS, LA
Ainsworth has a physical, athletic frame at 6 feet, 198 pounds. The swing is simple and balanced from the left side and he consistently makes hard contact, using the middle of the field and showing gap-to-gap power. He has consistently hit at a high level for both Catholic and the Louisiana Knights.

Chase Christian, OF, Pelham HS, AL
Christian is a speedy outfielder with a 6.68-second 60-yard dash and solid arm strength. He hits from a slightly open stance and utilizes a small leg kick to get the barrel into the hitting zone. He has nice bat speed and does a nice job of staying inside the ball through the hitting zone, getting good extension through his finish. He has a middle to backside gap approach. He also shows off his above-average athleticism as a wide receiver for Pelham.
