Under Armour Classic Preview: Bubba Baseball

Bubba Baseball has quickly established itself as a premier travel baseball organization. With top prospects from across Pennsylvania, New Jersey and New York, Bubba Baseball will be competing in the Under Armour Classic on June 17-19 at IMG Academy in Bradenton, FL. The UA Classic features 12 of the top 16U programs from around the country, each with a number of high level 2018/2019 prospects.
A look at some of Bubba Baseball’s top prospects:
Bryce Cunningham (2018, IF, Springside Chestnut Hill Academy, PA) - short, strong build with some juice in bat (92-mph exit velo). Moves well defensively and has enough arm to stick at 3B. Was on Team PA last summer and is again this summer.
Colin Eiser (2018, OF, Neumann-Goretti HS, PA) - left-handed slap hitter who stays on top of the ball and has good wheels (4.12 home-to-1B).
Logan Kellerman (2018, C, St. Joseph's Prep, PA) - small frame, but controls the game behind the dish (handled a very solid pitching staff well this spring). Works hard defensively, blocks well, and has surprising arm strength and carry for size. Pop times of 2.08-2.16 between innings and posted a 2.13 in-game pop as a soph.
Brock Helverson (2018, RHP, Perkiomen Valley HS, PA) - Three-quarter slot with wrist wrap and otherwise clean arm action. Threw strikes with FB 78-80, touching 81, while also flipping in an 11/5 CB at 66-68 and an occasional CH at 72-73.
Justin Meyer (2018, IF, The Haverford School, PA) - developed, physical build with some pop in bat. Balanced approach at the dish and has shown an ability to stay inside the baseball. Solid defensive actions with enough arm for 3B.
Anthony Sasso (2018, RHP, Toms River North, NJ) – solidly built 5-foot-10, 190-pound right-hander who has flashed mid-80s velocity with solid secondary stuff.

ABOUT THE IMG CLASSIC
The inaugural Under Armour Classic, powered by the Prep Baseball Report, is set for June 17-19 at IMG Academy in Bradenton, FL. This premier 16U tournament will feature 12 high-end travel baseball organizations, with each team featuring loaded rosters of 2018 and 2019 prospects from across the country.

Unlike many tournaments that have you spending more time in the car driving field to field, all the high-level competition will be in one quad, with staggered starts, posted pitching rotations, complete roster packets, and all other amenities to make your recruiting that much easier. And, of course, it’s all free. If you have attended the Prep Baseball Report Future Games in the past, you can expect the same level competition and event execution. Pool-play games will begin on Friday, June 17, and the tournament will conclude around 2 pm Sunday.
