WACO, TX - The top underclassman from the 2019 and 2020 classes in Texas met at Baylor University to tryout for the Area Code Team. Here are some of the arms that stood out. Some of the velocities may be a mile or two lower because of the obstructed view from tents that were set up behind home plate, as well as the scoreboard radar gun display only working about 30% of the time. Velocities taken in the right field bullpen have accurate gun readings and they are noted in this report.

2019

Bobby Witt Jr., SS/RHP, Colleyville Heritage HS, 2019
Oklahoma recruit. 6-foot-1, 180-pound, athletic, long-limbed frame. The number one player in the 2019 rankings was 89-92 mph with his fastball from a high-¾ slot with a long, easy arm stroke. His slider only registered at 74-76 mph, but we have seen it better than that. Witt Jr. recently re-committed to Oklahoma.

Sansone Faltine, SS/RHP, Travis HS, 2019
Texas recruit. 6-foot-2, 180-pound, lean, athletic, projectable frame. The right-hander has a long, quick, electric arm stroke with his fastball coming in at 88-90 mph and more velocity to come. His delivery is athletic and repeatable with his long-limbed frame.

Colton Bowman, LHP, Bullard HS, 2019
Oklahoma State recruit. 6-foot-2, 190-pound, strong, athletic frame. The left-hander works from a ¾ slot with a clean, quick arm stroke and repeatable delivery. His fastball was 85-88 mph with late, arm side life. His slider was 74 mph with tight, late break at 74 mph, while his curveball was 70 mph.

Jacob Meador, RHP, Burleson Centennial HS, 2019
TCU recruit. 5-foot-11, 170-pound, athletic frame. The right-hander has a quick arm stroke with his fastball sitting 88-90 mph in the bullpen. His slider is a swing and miss pitch with excellent depth and tight rotation at 74-75 mph.
