Ohio Insider: Updated Class of 2020 Player Rankings (August)

During the spring and summer, we covered the OHSAA High School season in the spring, held numerous showcases/events and covered many tournaments across the state in the summer. These proved valuable for many 2020 prospects, with many names coming off the board to some of the top programs around the nation. Below we will take a look at “What’s New At The Top”, “The Risers”, "Notable Newcomers", "Sleeper Prospects" and some of the top uncommitted prospects.

The top spot in the 2020 class is still a two-man race, with Ohio State commit Mackenzie Wainwright (St. Edward) still maintaining the top spot and Kentucky commit RHP Wyatt Hudepohl (St. Xavier) right behind him at number two. Two-way prospect and Pittsburgh commit Andrew Clelland, who was recently up to 88 mph while providing pop in the bat at the PBR Team Showcase, moves up to the number three spot. The two newcomers to the Top 10 are Logan Danzeisen and Jack Sokol, both of which used the Future Games to propel themselves into the top ten.
