The Manchester Lancers visited the #16 Cosby Titans on Thursday afternoon, in one of the few games that was taking place across the state. There would be no scoring until the back half of the game, as Lancers starter Aiden Harris (UVA) and Titans starter Reuben Costin (Presbyterian) worked four-plus innings of scoreless baseball. Both pitchers would work out of trouble in just about every inning, multiple innings with multiple runners on base. In the top of the fifth Manchester would get on board via on a Clay Scott (Lynchburg) flyball that fell in right field. The Titans would answer in the bottom of the sixth, as Zach Kovach doubled and Seth Truesdale walked putting multiple runners on base. Kovach would score on a passed ball and Truesdale would score to tie it up on an Ayden Schnarrs ground out. In the bottom of the seventh Alec Riles (Eastern Mennonite) hit a ground ball to second base that would get through and Grayson Harris (HSC), who was on from a leadoff walk, would score the winning run and the Titans would remain tied at the top of their conference. Final score #16 Cosby 3 - Manchester 2.

Now for a breakdown on eight players from Thursday's game.
