With great pleasure, we bring to you Prep Baseball Report Texas. Our mission in Texas mirrors that of our other state-specific coverage: to provide the most comprehensive in-state scouting information, to promote high school baseball and, ultimately help Texas prep athletes achieve their dreams of playing baseball at the next level. Our goal is to be the year-round No. 1 scouting resource for prep baseball in Texas.

Although it will take some time to achieve the status of our other 33 states, we are certain we have the right person to thoroughly, accurately and honestly scout Texas:

Toby Bicknell.

A native of Houston, Bicknell has built a reputation as one of college baseball’s most respected and relentless recruiters and talent evaluators over the last decade. Most recently, Bicknell served as the recruiting coordinator at Kentucky. He also served in the same capacity as recruiting coordinator at Air Force for five seasons, where he actively recruited all corners of Texas. When he wasn’t out on the road recruiting or developing the team’s position players, Bicknell taught Combatives and Water Survival at the Academy.

Prior to the Air Force, Bicknell coached two years at each Davidson and Clemson, where he helped the program to a Super Regional in 2007. Bicknell began his college coaching career at UNC Pembroke in 2004-2006, where he also earned his Master’s Degree in Sports Administration. As a player, Bicknell was an infielder at Wingate University.

Now Bicknell will bring his vast baseball experiences, grinder mentality and passion for scouting to Texas' prep baseball scene. As the Texas Scouting Director, Bicknell will work tirelessly to bring to you the most comprehensive high school baseball information Texas has ever seen and provide scouting coverage to all corners of the state. But he can’t do it alone. Please email him at [email protected] with college commitments, relevant news, and top players in your area.

Texas-specific events will begin later this fall. Prep Baseball Report events are designed to give players the maximum exposure needed to advance to the next level. Not only will players receive high-level exposure from college coaches, but all players at events will be videotaped, and the edited performance will be hosted online. All players’ profiles, verified statistics and scouting reports can be searched in our expansive player database.

Our flagship state, Prep Baseball Report Illinois, was launched in 2005. Over the last 11 years, the Prep Baseball Report has evolved into one of the country’s biggest and most respected independent scouting services, with a singular focus of providing comprehensive coverage in every state we are in. More than 750 colleges and pro scouts now subscribe to the Prep Baseball Report multimedia services.

Now, we are thrilled to be your No. 1 source of high school baseball in Texas.
