Big Inning Propels Leesville

Leesville -- 10     Sanderson -- 2

Game Recap:
In a conference game between Leesville and Sanderson on Tuesday, Leesville collected 11 hits in route to defeating Sanderson 10 to 2.

On the mound, Leesville used two arms to secure the 7 inning win.  Starter Nolan Straneiro worked into the 2nd inning, giving up two earned runs.  Zach Zoltoski came in relief and finished the game, working 5.1 innings and striking out 5 without allowing a run.

The big blow came in the top of the 3rd inning where Sanderson held a 2-0 lead.  With 2 outs and 2 on, the inning would be extended on an error, scoring Leesville’s 1st run.  Nick Cooper used an infield single to tie the game, followed by Straneiro getting hit by a pitch to load the bases.  Mitchell Seymour then stepped to the plate, with the bases loaded, and sent a big fly to left for a grand slam, pushing Leesville ahead 6-2.

Leesville would add two runs in each of the 6th and 7th innings.  Sanderson had 6 hits and stranded 10 base runners.
