Looking back at the past few weeks for Prep Baseball, the last rankings for the classes of 2025, 2026, 2027 and first for 2028 were unveiled as several prospects saw a climb after impressing scouts throughout the spring, summer and fall seasons. VP of Scouting Shooter Hunt dives into the changing landscape of college recruitment, the launch of Prep Baseball International with its first showcase in Taiwan, uncommitted spotlights and more.

RANKINGS

National

On December 5, Prep Baseball unveiled its updated rankings for the classes of 2025 and 2026. Filled with talent seen in the first and second All-American Games as well as previous Future Games, each class has plenty to offer.

 

Highlighting the class of 2025, six of the top-10 prospects appeared in both Milwaukee and Miami for the annual All-American including No. 9 ranked RHP/SS and Wake Forrest commit Josh Hammond (Wesleyan Christian Academy, NC) who was the first to accept his invite to the 2025 Super 60. Leading the class of 2026, uncommitted SS Jacob Lombard (Gulliver Prep, FL) ranks No. 1 followed by four more prospects that joined him at the All-American Game to round out the top-five. See the FULL RANKINGS HERE.

Draft HQ

MLB DRAFT BOARD: On Tuesday, December 10 at the MLB Winter Meetings in Dallas, the third annual MLB Draft Lottery took place to determine the first 18 picks. With the Washington Nationals holding the No. 1 overall pick, the Prep Baseball Draft HQ staff unveiled their first 2025 MLB Draft Board.

MLB MOCK DRAFT: With the draft order announced, Prep Baseball’s Draft HQ shares its first mock draft with seven prospects that appeared in the 2024 All-American Game in the top-10. See the full mock draft here.

STATE-BY-STATE

Super 60

With the 24th Super 60 Pro Showcase only two months away, Prep Baseball is already seeing top prospects accept their invitation to attend outside of Chicago. With the event on the horizon, several states take a look back at their recent prospects who attended and where they ranked over the years.

International/Taiwan

On Saturday, December 7, Prep Baseball International kicked off its first showcase outside of the Americas in Taipei, Taiwan. Featuring over 100 prospects the featured roster ranged from the class of 2025 to 2030.
