Scouting Report

Notes: Jones is one of the top uncommitted players from the 2022 class and it looked as if he was about to turn the corner when we saw him in Florida with Canada across his chest this past March. Jones does have some work to do with the running and throwing aspects of his game, but I think adding strength and reps will be able to play a massive role and fast track the development, whenever we can get that. Unfortunately, everyone lost reps this past year but Jones still had that balanced and smooth swing when we saw him in July up in Quebec. He doesn't get fooled, and there isn't a ton of swing and miss to his game. How will that translate against top competition, only time will tell but our hopes are that we get to see Jones in the red and white again sometime this spring.
3.14.20
Jones has added size and muscle to his frame and looked good early on with the National team here in Florida. The bat has added some juice and his BP is louder than we've seen before while the path and swing we liked early on is still there.

8.04.19
Jones is a lean outfielder with lots of room to project on the frame and bat as he is one of the youngest players at the Jr. Future Games. On workout day, Jones was solid in every aspect as he ran a 7.00 flat in the 60, was 81 mph from the outfield and had an exit velocity of 84 mph. There is not much present strength at the moment and Jones has the frame to carry more weight and not hurt his numbers. The swing works, he is controlled with a level path, looking to use the whole field while showing he can handle velocity. This will be a player to follow and see how he develops over the next couple years.
