WHAT TO WATCH FOR:

Expected Team Strength - The strength of the 2025 Copperheads will be on the mound.  Catawba Ridge returns three experienced arms in Caden Glauber, Bryce Meil, and Zack McMahon.  These three pitchers give the Copperheads a chance to win anytime they toe the rubber.  Positionally, Catawba Ridge also returns three starters from last year who were also starters on the 2023 state championship squad: Sam Schwamb (C), Britton Nash (SS), and Ethan Solnick (CF).  The Copperheads are looking for these players to lead an offense that must replace key contributors lost due to graduation. 

QUOTE FROM THE COACH:

"I am very excited about the 2025 version of the Catawba Ridge Copperheads. This is only Year 6 of our program and we have had some success in this short span.  Personally, it has been rewarding to watch the program grow from the ground-up.  As most people know, we lost several key contributors from our 2024 team due to graduation.  But, the 2025 squad will return some experienced arms on the mound along with three major offensive contributors.  We also have guys that have been waiting-in-the-wings for their opportunity to contribute at the varsity level.  I am looking forward to helping these players capitalize on the opportunities they have been waiting for and helping our team maximize its potential.  I feel like we have some under-the-radar guys that will quickly make a name for themselves this year.  We may experience a few growing pains this year, but I am confident that we will continue to grow and develop as the season progresses."
