WHAT TO WATCH FOR:
Expected Team Strength - We are returning a big portion of returns from both the offensive side of the ball as well as our starting rotation. We should be very strong from the top to bottom of our lineup. The senior leadership has bought into the new system from the new coaching staff that preaches aggressiveness offensively as well as on the bases
QUOTE FROM THE COACH:
I'm looking forward to watching these young men who have overcome a lot of adversity this past year, with the death of Jalen Benjamin (Previous Head Coach), play hard and play together to achieve some of our goals we have set out for the season
PLAYERS TO WATCH
Griffin McKain, OF/LHP, 2027, Univ of S Carolina, Griffin is going to be a cornerstone of our success this season both on the mound as well as in the field. His bat, skill set, and pitching abilities is one of the most impressive I've seen at such a young age.
Justin Iannetto, INF, 2026, Uncommitted, Justin is one of the most impressive baseball players I have had the privilege to coach and to be around. He is going to be our backbone offensively and is one of the teams leaders with his preparation and overall physical abilities. Any power 5 school is going to get an absolute superstar
Hudson Riordan, 1st basemen, 2027, Uncommitted, Hudson is going to be a pilar at first base and has more pop in his bat then any young man in the country at his age. He's going to be a superstar and play this game for a very long time.
Andres Lopez, INF, 2025, Newberry, Andres is our leader. He will be our leadoff hit to kick off the season and get the momentum started early. Defensively has the best glove and strongest arm in the state. With is work ethic and demeanor he is going to stand out this season as well as in college
Jackson Gordon, OF, 2025, Uncommitted, Jackson is going to lock down the outfield. His first step and range in the outfield is better then anyone in the state. He is going to be a big part of our offensive success with lots of opportunities to drive in runs with the athletes ahead of him in the lineup. He will play college baseball and will have a lot of success this season and moving forward.
Gavin MacDonald, RHP/1B, 2025, Florence Darlington Tech, RHP around 93-95 right now with some of the best movement in the state. His success on the mound versus some of the top teams in the state is going to determine the success we have as a team.
Coalson Williams, LHP, 2026, Uncommitted, Coalson is going to be our wild card coming off a injury and looking to shock a lot of schools with his abilities on the mound. Pounds the zone and is mechanically sound on the mound going to give a lot of hitters fits this year.
