•  9% (24 of 256) of reported commitments happened in August.
   
• The trend of increased number of reported commitments continued in August, it had the 4th most reported commitments over the last 12 months.

Summary

As the summer came to a close and the transition to fall began the commitments continued to trend upward. Both D2 and JUCO commitments were up from July. The number of D1 commitments slipped slightly but the 8 D1 commitments this month marked the 2nd highest monthly total of the last 12 months. The number of infield commitments were up, but the pitcher commitments still remained strong with 7 of the 24 commitments (29%).
