WANDO WARRIORS TOP CHAPMAN PANTHERS 15-10 to WIN 2020 SHIPYARD/PBR SHOWDOWN TITLE

 

The Wando Warriors reached the championship game of the 2020 Shipyard/PBR Showdown with a 2-1 pool play record. They defeated North Myrtle Beach and Walhalla and dropped a game to Rock Hill. Chapman was the designated home team and number 1 seed for the championship with a 3-0 pool play record defeating Indian Land, Ashley Ridge, and Stratford. 

Wando would score two in the first, one in the second, one in the fourth, eight in the fifth, and 3 in the sixth in route to putting up 15 runs and claiming the championship. Chapman would not go quietly however, scoring one in the first and three in the third to tie the game at four. They would also explode for six runs in the sixth to bring the score to the ultimate final of 15-10. 

Connor Cino, Ben Bullard, and Jack Skole would all collect two hits for Wando with Bullard driving in four and Conner Boan & Connor Cino driving in three each. Michael Nastro would get the win in 2.2 innings of relief work. The Chapman offense was led by Triton McSwain who picked up three hits including a Grand Slam HR and five RBI's.
