The game play session of the PBR Future Games are always fun as players from different regions are playing against one another creating friendly rivalries with some of the top players in the country.  Game 2 for Team Carolina featured a familiar foe from Future Games past, Team Mid-Atlantic.  The Mid-Atlantic team featured players from VA, MD, DC, and DE.

Team Mid-Atlantic would score in each of their first 3 at-bats, building a 3-1 lead after three.  A big 5th inning from Team Carolina was negated as Mid-Atlantic answered with three runs of their own.  In the 7th, Team Carolina finally took control of the game, plating three and taking a 7-6 lead.  Calder Garris (C/RHP, Wando HS, 2022) would close the game with a 3 up, 3 down final frame.

In the 3rd, Team Carolina got on the board with a two out single by Jordan Overton (OF, Rolesville HS, 2022).  Overton would steal 2B and score on a hard hit error from Rom Kellis (3B, P27 Academy, 2022).

The three run 5th was led by a leadoff triple from Seth Christmas (SS, Hopewell HS, 2022).  Jacob Jarrell (C, P27 Academy, 2022) would walk.  With two outs, Christmas and Jarrell on 2nd and 3rd when Ty Torti (INF, Pro5 Academy, 2022) reached on an infield hit, scoring both runners.  Torti would get to 2B and score on a RBI single from Buddy Howard (OF, Rabun-Gap Nacoochee, 2022).

Down two in the 7th, Noah Hill (C, High Point Christian, 2022) reached via a leadoff walk and moved up on an infield hit from Colby Umbarger (OF/RHP, North Iredell HS, 2023) who ran a 4.33 down the line on the single.  With a run in and Austin Hawke (SS, Reagan HS, 2022) reaching via a HBP, Jarrell would reach when he skied a pop up between SS and LF, seeing it fall and two runs scoring.

On the bump, Jackson Humphries (LHP, Fuquay-Varina HS, 2022) started, working two innings with a fastball up to 88 and a breaking ball creating swing and miss.  Zac Martin (RHP, Foard HS, 2022) posted the first zero in the 4th with a solid 3 pitch arsenal.  Seve Mack (RHP, P27 Academy, 2022) showed some competitiveness after a rough 5th inning, firing a zero in the 6th, flashing a solid feel for a change-up.  In the 7th, Garris  flooded the zone with a fastball up to 88.
