The Best of 2020: TrackMan Offensive Numbers

Brandon Hall
Executive Director of Scouting, PBR NC

Prep Baseball Report of North Carolina continued to grow in 2020.  In the midst of a national pandemic, PBR is proud to be able to continue to report on players and allow players to post verified statistics and video for college coaches and pro scouts to follow.  The number of in-event participants was kept down throughout the summer and fall to continue to ensure player and staff safety, but PBR was able to add to their planned schedule to see a record number of players in 2020.

We continue our look back at 2020 coverage with the top offensive numbers produced on TrackMan at PBR Events.  All of these numbers were taken in live BP sessions.  TrackMan is able to track and record this information at indoor and outdoor events.

BEST OF 2020 - Top TrackMan Offensive Numbers

TrackMan

The use of TrackMan at PBR Events has given coaches and scouts more and more feedback from every player's workout.   During live BP, TrackMan is setup to capture ball flight statistics off the bat.  While capturing a ton of data, we have limited our look at some areas that give instant feedback to baseball fans, players, and coaches.  Exit speed is the velocity that the ball is coming off the barrel.  Distance is the measured route of the ball off the bat.  At PBR Events, TrackMan only captures data on balls put in play in fair territory.
