Scouting Report
Physical Attributes/Projection: 6-0, 170lbs, lean athletic build, moderate strength in the lower half. slender torso and wiry arms. Substantial projection remaining, high ceiling based on current athleticism and physical upside.
Offensive Analysis: Even stance with a smooth controlled load. Short hand load, combined with a small barrel turn at the top. Aggressive rotation with the lower half, showed the ability to lag the barrel through contact. Short, quick path to contact on a flat path. Gap to gap power present.
Defensive Analysis: Athletic through the fielding process in the OF. Fields the ball inside the right foot and exchanges at the mid section. Uses a packing load to time his throw from a H3Q arm slot. Carry present. Rangy OF showed solid defensive skills in game.
Delivery/Mechanics: Short rocker step to a higher athletic leg lift. Drop and drive delivery with a full arm action on the back side. Shorter stride cuts down on the extension. Quick arm, high effort delivery. Athleticism gives him upside on the mound.
Pitches/Action: FB jumped out of the hand and carried life through the zone. The firm offering showed sporadic control at times. SL has big time swing and miss potential with late two tier break. Could make for a high end pitch as he matures.
