With 2024 coming to a close we begin to take a look at the most viewed player profiles in South Carolina over the last year. Prep Baseball continues to be a go-to source of information for college coaches and pro-scouts. All Major League Organizations and over 1000 colleges are subscribed to Prep Baseball services. Coaches and scouts can go to a players profile page and see player video as well as advanced analytics. With all the information provided it allows coaches and scouts to get an idea of who the player is as well as track their progress throughout their careers. 

Some of the most popular ways to a player profile page are event pages, tournament pages, player search, news articles and rankings. Over the next couple weeks we will highlight the 15 most viewed profiles of 2024 in South Carolina.

Scouting Report

7/26/23

Physical: Lean, athletic 5-foot-9, 165-pound frame with RTF. 7.10 runner in the 60-yard dash.

Offensively: RHH. Wider, even stance that showed rhythm with a flat barrel to start. Utilized a leg-kick stride to initiate a max effort swing through a rotational path into the hitting zone. Created advance leverage off the front of the plate for a T93MPH EV, up to 332FT. Separates well with a hard pull-side approach. 

Defensively: Primary C worked down-to-up on the receive from a traditional setup. Pop times ranged from 1.96-2.09 at 77MPH with a quick/seamless exchange and power H ¾ slot. Used a smaller, agile build to angle around blocks.

Physical: 5-9, 165 pounds; Athletic, lean build. 6.93 runner in the 60.

Offensively: RHH. Even setup, with feet just outside his shoulders; upright bat position. Lifts hands with a toe-tap for timing. Stays behind the ball while showing an aggressive lower half. Showed a flat swing path with a two handed finish.  More groundballs than line drives and flyballs with a peak exit velocity of 96 MPH via Trackman. Middle of the field approach with consistent hard hit %.

Defensively: Starts with a balanced setup; utilizing a traditional primary position while staying low during receiving. Hands are soft while staying low during transfer. Moderate arm circle from a standard 3/4 arm slot. 2.00-2.08 pop times. C - 77 MPH.

Pitching: Uses a center rubber setup while using a side step. Belt high leg drive with a slight lean over the belt. Has a moderate stride landing inline with the plate. Long arm swing while wrist hooks behind back; standard 3/4 slot. Spins off 1B side with finish. FB: Peak velo of 85 MPH, while sitting 82-85 MPH; arm side run with sink.  SL: 70-72 MPH; short action.

2/22/23

Physical: 5-foot-9, 155 pounds; Proportional, slight build. 3.87 30 yd dash.

Offensively: RHH. Even setup, with feet just outside his shoulders; has a pre-pitch bat waggle. Short take back with the hands with a slight leg-kick for timing. Stays behind the ball while showing an aggressive lower half. Showed a direct swing path with a two handed finish.  More groundballs than line drives and flyballs with a peak exit velocity of 95 MPH via Trackman. Stayed in the middle of the field with hard contact.

Defensively: Starts with a compact setup; utilizing a one knee approach while staying low during receiving. Hands are soft while staying low during transfer. Short take back from a standard 3/4 arm slot. 2.01-2.11 pop times. C - 78 MPH. OF - 88 MPH.
