TOP PLAYERS (Coach’s Comments)

Justin Maupin, 2015, Middle INF, R/R, 5'7 165- Has been an all-conference and all-tournament player since his freshman year, last year was his first year as a catcher (2.05 pop), has quick feet. I would project him to be a 2nd baseman. Great work ethic, loves the game.

Hunter Townsend, 2015, LHP/LHH 6'3 220 LHP/OF/1B- been an all-conference and all-tournament player. Very projectable, has some really good pop but needs to use the whole field better, great work ethic and great kid.

Caleb Rice, 2015, RHP 5'10 135- Is a submarine pitcher, only been doing it for less than a year and looks to be very reliable and gets better everyday. Wirey kid.

Justin Morefield, 2016, RHP 6'2 200-- 2.35 ERA as a soph SP on varsity- led the team with 41 2/3 innings pitched. Effortless on the mound, BB is a work in progress. Knows how to control his emotions. Top arm on the 2015 team.

Ryne Baines, 2016, L/R 6'2 175 1B-- very coachable kid, who works hard. Had a great summer with his travel team. Expecting big things this season. Continues to get better every day. Has shown good pop. (Profile and Video on PBR site)

According to the Coach

The 2015 season looks to be an exciting one for the Warriors. On the mound we lost 105 innings from last years team but have some capable young guys that will pick up the slack. These guys will be thrown into the fire early. This might be the best defensive team we have had in my 4 years at Happy Valley. Top half of the line up will be very strong but we will need a few guys in the bottom half to play up to potential and also do the little things well. We should be competitive in the Three Rivers Conference, not sure if that will equal wins, but we will have our opportunities.
