We highlighted five catchers in our previous report, now we focus on the eight outfielders from the 2021 TN Preseason ID at Showtime Sports Academy. Cleveland State commit '21 OF Brock Harvey (Oakland) earns title of top outfield prospect after showing flashes of some upside power in his big frame.  Below, we dive into the events up and coming outfielders.

Brock Harvey OF / C / Oakland, TN / 2021

6-foot-1, 200-pound Cleveland St CC commit; Big projectable frame with present strength while roaming the OF.  Profiles slots as a corner piece at the next level.  Balanced, athletic stance with solid rhythm and strong finish.  Simple load with moderate leg kick generating solid bat speed (T 68.1 mph) and above average rotational acceleration (T 22.1 G; Avg: 18.7 G).  Heavy dose of liners and fly balls in his round of BP still showing flashes of power alley pop (T 91.6 exit velo). Still average to below average runner, but above average arm strength and looks like a solid bat-first pickup for the Cougars.

Dominic Hendricks OF / 2B / Smyrna, TN / 2021

5-foot-8, 130-pound uncommitted senior outfielder took home blast motion player of the week following the event.  Wiry, twitchy frame with plenty of room to fill out and add mass.  Explosive runner with good tracking skills (4.47 Home to first; 6.80 sixty).  Tall, slightly open stance with small leg kick and short load. Generates average bat speed through the zone (T 67.5; Avg: 64.4 mph), but sequences well (T 28.1 G)  showing a high ceiling moving forward.  Mix of line drives and fly balls with average exit velo, but looking to put pressure on defenses and stretch out doubles with legs at the top of the order.  Can play all three outfield positions comfortably with good speed and solid arm strength (84 OF Velo).

Thatcher Green OF / SS / Nashville Christian, TN / 2022

Lean, lanky 6-foot-1, 170-pound frame. Starts balanced in the box, rhythmic pre-pitch actions, arm bars at load, slight foot lift to stride, quiet all-around. Twitchy hands with bat speed, stays short to the baseball, level bat path through the zone, pull-side approach. Impressive Blast Motion metrics; 27.90 mph max hand speed with an average hand speed of 24.86 mph. Attacks the baseball, two-hand gather from the outfield. Long arm circle with some reach in the back, high ¾ arm slot.

Isaac Schafer OF / RHP / Wilson Central , TN / 2023

Athletic 5-foot-7, 140-pound build. Balanced setup in the box, steady pre-pitch hand rhythm, bat corks into vertical position at load, patient leg lift trigger. Level bat path through the zone, consistent line drive contact to all fields. Smooth outfield actions, athletic base that stays low to the ground, steady hands that work out in front of his body, feet play through the baseball. Long arm action with some draw on the back side, over-the-top slot. Above-average arm strength for age - his best bullet topping out at 83 mph from the outfield.

Nate Edgeworth OF / LHP / Nolensville , TN / 2023

5-foot-10, 185-pound lefty outfielder.  Proportional frame with present strength in lower half.  Slightly crouched stance while keeping lower half quiet and big load generating plenty of bat speed (T 71.1 mph).  Once he found his timing, Edgworth sprayed liners to all fields while favoring pull-side (T 86.9 mph; Avg: 78.3 mph) flashing strong rotational acceleration (T 19 G). Defensively, profile slots as a corner outfielder, solid runner (4.53) but below average arm strength (70 OF Velo).  Short, stiff arm action that need some cleaning up, but a young prospect to follow with flashes of bop from the left side.

Thor Williams OF / 3B / Anderson County , TN / 2022

Strong, athletic 5-foot-10, 180-pound frame. Muscular stature. Stands tall in the box, active hand rhythm, quick leg kick trigger to front footstrike. Some quick-twitch actions in hands, short and uphill bat path, bat catches the baseball out front, hits off his front side. Quick first step, feet attack the baseball on a direct line, some length to release. Long arm action, high ¾ slot.

Isaiah Douglas OF / OF / Lebanon , TN / 2022

Lean, athletic 5-foot-5, 140-pound frame. Balanced lower half in the box, fluid pre-pitch hand rhythm, smooth and simple load, short stride. Long bat path with an aggressive finish through contact, uphill attack angle, sees the ball deep into the zone. Athletic feet that occasionally field in rhythm around the baseball, clean exchange, plays through the baseball after release. Long arm circle, high ¾ slot.

Caleb Molder OF / 1B / Shelbyville Central, TN / 2023

Lanky, high-waisted 6-foot, 165-pound frame that could stand to add weight as he physically develops. Stands tall in the box with little knee bend, bat starts over back shoulder, hands drop at load, short stride. Bat travels on an uphill path through the zone. Molder is lacking bat speed to really capitalize on some power and consistency.  Feet occasionally attacks the baseball on an angle defensively, steady hands that work parallel to left foot, and plays through at times. Long winding arm action, high ¾ slot that is much improved since the summer.
