Monday, we released the updated TN 2025 Rankings, expanding to 100 prospects and giving a fresh look as college coaches prep to hit the road in September. Today, we take it a step further highlighting the six uncommitted arms amongst the top 20 overall prospects. Take the time to check out scout notes and video on the top available mound talent for the TN 2025 class.

Top Uncommitted Arms

Grayson Burleson, RHP, Summertown, 2025
Uncommitted, 6-foot-4, 205-lb tall, projectable frame w/ present strength and long limbs. Quiet first step w/ repeatability and some effort in the delivery. Good tempo and strong balance point w/ loose arm action up to H 3/4 slot. Drop n drive lower half w/ square foot landing and back hip following through release. FB was 84-88, T89 (T 2330 rpm; Avg: 2109 rpm) w/ good life and maintained plane. Comes clean out the hand and consistently around the zone, beating barrels up and locating when needed. Mixed CB at 70-74 (T 2136 rpm) w/ good shape and downer bite. Not a putaway pitch, but shows potential to develop into one as it’s continued to progress and keep hitters honest. Tossed two frames at Future Games, surrendering one run w/ a pair of punchouts. Burleson is the top uncommitted arm in the class and his stuff along with future projection and bloodlines will make him a key follow for colleges.

Aidan Niggl, RHP, Mt. Juliet, 2025
Uncommitted, 6-foot-3, 180-lb tall, lean projectable frame w/ high waist. Staggered w/ quick step back and tempo thru delivery. Tall n fall lower half into square foot landing. Quick spiral arm action coming out around the ear at a 3/4 slot. Heavy FB at 85-87, T89 (T 2062 rpm; Avg: 1891 rpm) w/ arm side life and slight sink at times. Shown to throw it off the outer half and run it back for strike or middle in to bear down on RHH. Mixed CB at 71-74 w/ solid bite (T 1994 rpm) and showed flashes. Still lacking some feel, but creates a natural tunnel off the running FB and throws it firm. Tossed a pair of solid frames w/ a pair of punchouts at Future Games. Niggl seems to be the next Mt. Juliet arm coming down a rich pipeline.

Chandler Day, LHP, Houston, 2025
Uncommitted, 5-foot-10, 150-lb southpaw had a strong Spring as a district starter for 4A runner up Houston and the lefty front runner for the class. Quick tempo delivery w/ drop n drive lower half into closed toe landing. Lean wiry frame w/ plenty of projection and room to add strength. Good feel of three pitch mix. FB at 83-85 w/ good location. Mixing downer CB at 63-66, keeping hitters off balanced and burying for chase. Flashed CH at 71-72 to keep RHH off the FB. Day stepped into a big role for his freshman year and his competitiveness and pitchability allowed him to go 8-1 w/ a 2.42 ERA & 70 strikeouts in 52 innings.

Matt Dill, RHP, Baylor School, 2025
Uncommitted, 6-foot, 175-lb lean, projectable frame w/ room to add strength. Repeatable delivery w/ controlled tempo and strong balance point. Drop n drive lower half w/ closed toe landing. Long arm action w/ high glove side, working up to H 3/4 slot. FB at 80-85 w/ good life and slight arm side action. It maintains plane w/ lateral bite while lacking elevated spin rates. Best off speed is definitely his CH in mid 70s w/ depth and fade, which is probably the best of in the class. Good feel w/ tumble and fools hitters for weak contact and swing n miss. Showed development of CB at 68-72 w/ solid bite and flashes of potential as he gets more comfortable. Dill has good athleticism and his older brother, Jay, just had a breakout freshman year at Clemson, so Dill will be a high priority arm as he leads the Baylor pitching staff for years to come.

Nolan Bernard, RHP, McCallie, 2025
Uncommitted, 6-foot-2, 185-lb tall, projectable frame w/ lower half strength. Controlled tempo in delivery w/ high leg lift. Drop n drive lower half w/ slightly opened landing. Long, loose arm action working up to H 3/4 slot. Good spin on the FB at 85-88 T89 (T 2218 rpm; Avg: 2073 rpm) w/ late life and horizontal bite. Mixes SL at 73-76 (T 2269 rpm) w/ more cut life action but good tunnel off FB. Best swing n miss offering is splitter at 71-73 w/ depth and late bite, landing for strikes and bury for chase. Good feel for the mix w/ very projectable frame that will catch recruiters eyes as he develops into a bigger role with a deep McCallie staff.

Ean McCord, RHP, Davidson Academy, 2025
Uncommitted, 6-foot-1, 240-lb big body righty w/ present strength. Good tempo in delivery w/ high leg lift and strong balance point. Drop n drive lower half w/ slightly closed foot landing and lead leg block before spinning off to 1B side. Short, stabby arm action working up to H 3/4 slot w/ good arm speed. Heavy FB at low to mid 80s (T 85; T 1789 rpm) w/ good IVB (T 19.8; Avg: 16.7) and slight arm side action at times. Mixes sharp CB at 70-74 (T 2202 rpm) w/ good bite and downer shape, which continues to develop and firm up. Showed more feel for CH at 75-78, throwing it down in the zone w/ some fade, which should be a very solid third offering. He’s continued to clean up the frame and shown some athleticism for size (7.63 sixty & 23.7 jump height). McCord has a bulldog mentality on the mound and once he gets past the 85 plateau along w/ sharpening off speed mix, recruiters will want to check in.
