Daily Roundup: March 11 Games

Wet fields continue to plague many teams in getting scheduled games played early this season. The following is a look at scores and highlights from games that were able to be played around the state last evening.

Evangelical Christian 16, Munford 2

Alex Smith went 2 for 4 with a home run and Caleb Moore went 1 for 3 with a double. Keegan Westbrook got the win for the Eagles and had four strikeouts.

Evangelical Christian 4, Covington 3

In a very close game the Eagles found a way to win. Keegan Westbrook went 2 for 4 with a double and Alex Smith went 2 for 5 at the plate for the Eagles. Nathan McMeans got the win on the mound.

Jackson South Side 9, Ripley 2

Trevor Kenner went 2 for 4 with a double and Payton Pierce went 2 for 3, followed by Bryton Wallace who went 2 for 2 for Jackson South Side. Mason Cagle got the win on the mound with 6 strikeouts.

Tipton-Rosemark Academy 10, White Station 1

Gill Erwin and Houston Hall each had a hit for the Rebels. Corey Mitson had 5 strikeouts and picked up the win on the mound.

Northeast 7, Creekwood 2

Nate Harris went 1 for 4 with a grand slam to open the game up for Northeast. Benji Burchwell got the win on the mound with 5 strikeouts.

Germantown 4, Bolton 3

In a close matchup Germantown pulled away in the end. Horne went 2 for 3 with a double and Smith went 1-1 with a double. Horne got the win on the mound.

Collierville 7, Dyer Co 6

Plenty  of Dragons had hits to carry Collierville past Dyer Co.. Fulton Johnson went 2 for 3, Alex Hicks 2 for 3, Parker Phillips 2 for 3, and Bryan Doss went 2 for 3. Bo Sutton got the win on the mound.

Harpeth 9, King 4

T.C. Newton had a huge night going 3 for 3 with a double and Brody Tucker went 2 for 4 with two doubles. Charlie Gill got the win on the mound.

Milan 7, Camden 2

Grant Holden went 2 for 4 with a triple and Brett Potts went 2 for 3 with a triple to lead the Bulldogs. Mason Holden picked up the win for Milan.

CPA 7, Hume-Fogg 0

Nichols and Webster both went 1 for 3 with a double for CPA. Phillips picked up the win on the mound.

Blackman 3, Smyrna 1

Kody Keiser went 2 for 4 and Donnel Bailey went 1 for 3 with a home run to lead the Blaze past Smyrna. Matt Harnish racked up 6 strikeouts to pick up the win for Blackman.

Oakland 2, Siegel 0

Jackson Cauthen went 2 for 3 and Mark Pruitt went 1 for 2 with a double to lead Oakland past Siegel. Blake Howland got the win on the mound with 4 strikeouts.

McCallie 10, Montgomery Central 2

McCallie continues to stay hot to start the season. Ethan Cady went 2 for 3 with a double , followed by Buster Burton who went 2 for 2. Justin Glover picked up the win with 6 strikeouts.

Memphis University 7, Hernando 6

AJ Hunt went 2 for 3 with two doubles and Connor Stewart went 2 for 4 to lead the Memphis University offensive attack. Will Buser picked up the win on the mound.

Jackson Christian 4, Rossville 0

Ethan Joyner went 1 for 2 and also picked up the win on the mound for the Eagles. Shea Nickias went 1 for 3 as well at the plate. Rossville’s Weston Bizzle, a 2017 Vanderbilt commit, made his first start in Tennessee since transferring from Florida and allowed two hits, five walks, one earned run, and struck out six in four innings of work.

HVA 5, Maryville 4

Harris went 2 for 2 with a double and a triple and Green went 2 for 3 to lead the Hawks. Sears picked up the win on the mound in an intense game.
